The other day, one of the women who sits near me at work said that she wanted some American tacos. I was like, “Hmm? What is an American taco?” She replied that it was a taco made with ground beef.
I guess it makes sense. The standard taco filling at all American fast food taco places is ground beef. If you go to a Mexican restaurant, most don’t offer ground beef tacos. I haven’t had tacos in Mexico, but I imagine that ground beef isn’t a top option.
There are so many ways to fill a taco. At a recent visit to a taco place that specializes in fish tacos, there were potato tacos on the menu. I’ve never had a potato taco, but I bet I would like it.
I made American tacos at home tonight, and they were delicious.

And now, a couple of quick follow-ups to previous posts.
Regarding Mom’s comment on the medicine post, yes it is the exact same medicine, not a generic substitute. It’s the same dosage, too.
Regarding yesterday’s post about the MRI results, I was contacted this morning by the orthopedic specialty center. I have an appointment on Thursday morning with a shoulder specialist. I’m surprised and delighted. I’m also a little nervous. Wouldn’t it be cool if he could just squirt some super glue in there to heal the tear?
To be continued…
