This morning, the three of us went to get tested at a state-sponsored place. Long story short: T is positive; MT and I are negative. MT and I were first exposed on Friday, so it’s only been three days. We will get tested again in the next two or three days, since the guideline is that testing needs to happen five to seven days after exposure.
I’ll mention here that all of us are fully vaxxed. I am the only one of us who has had the booster, so far.
As for T, he may have been exposed when he visited a friend on the 11th, or from a person or persons who came into the store where he worked. He is staying in his room, and will have sole use of the big bathroom. I’ve been taking food and drinks up to him, wearing a mask when I’m around him, and being careful to stay as far away as I can. Lots of hand washing, too.
Since MT and I are negative, we do not have to quarantine. We will wear masks when we are in public and limit our outings. For me, I’m lucky that it’s Christmas week, and I only need to be in the office a couple of times this week.
The Virus is insidious. After all this time of being so careful, here it is in my house. Damn.
Be careful out there.
Also…good vibes to Mamacita who is having cataract surgery tomorrow! Virtual besos to you!!
