I was driving around this evening. NPR was on the radio, but the sound was down low so it was just quiet noise. In my head, I heard a gently strummed guitar, and some words popped into my head:
He deals the cards
As a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn’t play
For the money he wins
He doesn’t play for respect.
Do you know this song? It is “Shape of My Heart” by Sting, from the album Ten Summoner’s Tales. I love the song. It’s peaceful and beautiful. It soothed me today, and I didn’t even know I needed soothing.
Perhaps you would like to be soothed by Sting’s song, too. If so, give it a look and listen.
