#2784 Sunday with Sandy

Usually I post every other day, so I have a post on Saturday that I call Saturday with Sandy, or a Sunday post that I call Weekend Wrap-up. In November, though, since I post every day, I guess we will have both Saturday and Sunday with Sandy.

Overnight we had the "fall back" time thing, so when I woke up, it was 7:40 am. I made breakfast, a repeat of yesterday's breakfast (hash browns, eggs, and sausage) plus a pot of the new coffee I wrote about yesterday. It was good. Very smooth. I read for a little while, then did the time-honored Wann tradition of Sunday after breakfast nap. I remember that my dad would often take a nap after breakfast. I slept for an hour and it was great!

My main intention for the day was to work on my bookkeeping. There was a bunch of business receipts to go through and all the mortgages to pay. I got most of that work done before MT and I went to dinner at a friend's house. I don't know if I wrote about the last dinner we had with these friends. They are actually clients of MT's who were kind enough to invite us over for a casual dinner early in October. Tonight's dinner was also casual, but there were more people in attendance, mostly family and close family friends, and us. It was nice. The food and wine were good, and the conversation was pleasant. also. There was a lot of talk about travels, which is my favorite subject.

I done a few other things today, too. I did a bit of laundry. I cleaned up the kitchen. I made some kongs for the doggos, and they were super excited about it. I read when I could spare a couple of minutes here and there. I put clean sheets on my bed. I filled out my ballot, which I will drop off tomorrow. I was happy that this time the clerk included an I VOTED sticker in the packet. I was always bummed that I didn't get a sticker when I voted by mail, but I am sad no longer!

What's coming up this week? Jill the Artist has a Zoom event that I will do on Monday night. I've got a couple of regularly scheduled things on Tuesday evening and on Friday evening. Other than that, the week is clear, I think. I need to go to the grocery store, so I'll figure out some things I'd like to cook this week and make a nice shopping list. I'm participating in a sleep challenge through the Company's wellness program. It's called a sleep challenge, but it's really a challenge to stay off the phone for eight straight hours. I only have to do it for 20 out of 30 days. You'd think it would be easy, but it's tougher than you think, for me, anyway. I'll let you know how it goes. I've done it for two days, and I only got points for one of the days. It is such a habit to tap the screen to check the time or see a text that's come in. Ooh! I'll move my phone to a different location so I am not tempted to tap it when I wake up in the middle of the night, as I almost always do. Brilliant.

Let's end the post with a pretty picture from Chania, Crete. This is one of the first photos I took in Chania, near the cafe where we did our first art session. It's a pretty typical European scene, and I like it.

Until tomorrow, then...
