#589 Osi is awesome
I started out my day doing one of my most favorite things. I took Osi for a walk. Well, that's not really accurate; I took Osi over to the soccer field at the rec center and let her run around to her heart's content. I followed along and gave her dog treats when she circled back to me and followed my directions.
It was a beautiful morning. The sky was bright blue, the air was crisp but not bitter, there was a little frost on the grass. I wore a sweatshirt and a wind jacket on top of that along with a knit cap and some gloves. I was warm and happy. We had the whole field to ourselves (it was around 8:30 in the morning). It felt nice to get a little sunshine and fresh air and I think that Osi really enjoyed it, too. Doesn't it look like she's smiling in the picture?
She loves to get out and run around. Even when we just go for a walk around the block, she is excited. I need to get more into the habit of doing that. She is such a great dog; she deserves to have a little fun!
After play-time, I treated myself to a chai tea from Starbucks. I used the drive-up; for once, there were no cars in front of me, so I didn't have to wait, which is cool. The coffee guy LOVED my dog. He chatted with me for awhile about her: how adorable her bandana is, how her colors are so great, how her name is so cool, how awesome it is that she doesn't eat people food. (He offered to give me a bowl of whipped cream for her, which I politely declined.) Then he said, "Oh my gosh! Your drink is ready. Here you go." He sounded a little down that the drink was prepared so quickly. I even heard him say "Awww," as we drove away. That's Osi, spreading a little happiness at the Starbucks drive-up window.
