This morning when I woke up I told myself that I needed to do five things today. Sometimes I tend to overload myself with things I feel like I have to do, so I try to limit it to five things on a weekend. It's an easy list:
Pay the bills
Do laundry
Do the grocery shopping
Download my holiday tunes to my iPods
Take Osi to Petsmart to get her feet trimmed
The first three are pretty standard Sunday things. The last two are specific to today.
I'm happy to say that I can consider today a success. I have accomplished all five things! YAY!
Last night my brother-in-law Kelly and his two boys, Jake and Garrett, spent the night at our house. Kelly's brother-in-law, Terry, is very sick and is in the hospital. Kelly's wife, Denise, stayed at or near the hospital with her sister and the boys came here for some sleep. Although the circumstances that brought them to SLC are sad, we were glad to see them. T really likes his cousins, and MT misses his family and any chance he gets to see them makes him happy.
This morning we all went to breakfast at a good little diner in our area. Even though I missed my favorite Sunday yoga class, I enjoyed having breakfast with the guys. They were all funny. As I looked around the table at all of them, I could absolutely see the family resemblance.
My back feels a little sore today. I went to yoga/pilates yesterday and I can feel all that stretching and strengthening working on my back. I didn't do much activity when I was in Watsonville last week.
Back to work tomorrow, but I'll be here! I have such a busy month at work. The next three weeks are going to be a bit crazy. And I've got all my shopping to do. I haven't bought one thing yet. I want to get on that, but shopping isn't my most favorite thing to do. I do love to give gifts to my family, though, so next Saturday, no matter what, I'm going shopping. Anyone want to come along? :)
