There is no better topic for my 700th (700!!) post than my son. He's tremendously awesome.
Tonight was the awards ceremony at T's school. Since he received an invitation to attend, we were pretty sure he would be recognized for something, so both MT and I went to the program. T took a seat on the stage and proceeded to have his name called three times. He was recognized for his high grade point average and his high citizenship average. MT and I were surprised and pleased by the citizenship recognition. I think T was even a little surprised.
Those two awards are fantastic and I am proud of him. For all the goofing around and big talking he does around the house, I think he works hard and minds his manners at school and he's getting really, really good grades.
Each department awards a couple of students with outstanding achievement awards in that department's subject. The frosting on the cake tonight was an award from one of T's favorite teachers, Ms. Ibarra, the history teacher. T was awarded Outstanding Student - US History Honors. Oh my gosh! I was so happy for him! He puts in a lot of time on the subject and it really paid off. I am so proud of him I could burst.
Good job buddy!
