# 72 the day no one liked my food

T wasn't feeling well today, so he stayed home from school. He has the sniffles and a scratchy little voice. And also one less tooth in his head. While eating a chewy granola bar today, one of his baby teeth fell right out. That is only the fourth tooth he has lost, actually the second tooth he lost, the other two were pulled by the dentist. Anyway, we are awaiting a visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight.

I took the afternoon off work to hang out with him. Mostly he laid on the couch, watching Spongebob or playing with his toys. I cleaned up the files in my desk, making room for the 2008 bills and statements and everything. It wasn't that much fun. I also did some laundry. That was when I discovered that my dryer wasn't drying like it should. I cleaned the lint trap, even washing it with soap and water. I read somewhere, probably on an email, that the lint trap can get all clogged up with residue from the dryer sheets, so I washed it. It was true that not much water could even get through it at first. All the water just puddled up on the surface. Strange. Take a minute to wash your lint trap. Even with a clean lint trap, my clothes still didn't dry, so I checked the vent outside. It was very blocked, so I cleaned that, too. Now my clothes are dry. Lint trap cleaning, vent maintenance and filing. That's how I spent my afternoon.

Since I had some extra time I decided to make a meal that takes a little bit of prep work, chicken enchiladas except made with turkey. And I used whole wheat tortillas in an attempt to boost the fiber content of our food. The only problem was no one really liked the tortillas. Normally those enchiladas are one of MT's favorite meals. He told me it was "ok" but wondered what kind of tortillas I was using. T had a fit over the brown tortillas and wouldn't eat the turkey quesadilla I made for him. (I just used some of the filling from the enchiladas in the quesadilla. Yummy!)

I also tried a new cookie recipe tonight. I made oatmeal craisin white chocolate chip cookies. They are good. MT said they were "different" - he would know, he had about 6 to come up with that description! T didn't like them at all but wouldn't give me a reason. The craisins? The oatmeal? The fact that they weren't from Keebler?

For the record, I thought it was all very tasty. However, I think I'll save that whole wheat pasta I was going to make tomorrow for another day.
