#101 on shopping, exercising and that toe

I feel like shopping, and I never feel like shopping. I want to get some new shoes, maybe a new shirt or two, and some new pants. I will give it a try tomorrow. I hope that I am successful and still have a good attitude when I'm finished.

I shopped today, but for house stuff. I bought a new mattress pad for my bed. I put the new pad on and lovely, crisp clean sheets. I can't wait to go to bed! We also went to IKEA today. Gosh, that's a big store! T kept sitting on whatever surface was available whenever I stopped to look at something. "I need to work out more," he told me. "I must be in bad shape if I can't make it through this store." Whatever!

Speaking of working out, I went to the gym this morning. I've been riding my bike here at home, but I haven't been to the gym for awhile. I decided to do a little strength training. I feel it everywhere tonight, but especially my inner thighs. I did some lunges. Good God! Lowering my body into a sitting position has never been so painful. It feels kinda good though, in a sick way.

Here's a toe update: he popped the blister under the toenail to relieve some of the pressure. He says it doesn't hurt as much today and he thinks it looks better. I think it looks about the same, but maybe not as puffy. He thinks he'll keep the toenail. I'm not convinced.

On final random thought on March Madness: I'm out of it. I picked UCLA and UNC for the championship, and of course, both of them lost tonight. I'll probably still watch the game even though I really don't care who wins. I guess I hope it's Memphis. I don't know why, though.
