This week has gone by pretty quickly for me. Of course I went to work during the days, then we did stuff in the evenings.
On Monday we ate roast beef tacos for Cinco de Mayo. Remember the jalapeƱos (#109)? I had so much meat that I froze some, so that's what we had. Also at work that day, we had a taco-rama. MT and I started taco-rama when we were in college. We invited a bunch of friends over to our apartment. Everyone had to bring something to go with tacos, like tortillas, lettuce, jalapenos, etc. And beer. I introduced the concept at work a few years ago, and now we have it every now and again. But no beer.
That night, after tacos, we watched the movie "Atonement" on dvd. I wanted to love it, but I didn't. The whole middle section was strange, when he was in the war. I didn't like how it kept skipping around: 2 weeks earlier, 4 months later. And could Kiera Knightly be any thinner? You could barely see her when she turned to the side. I want to feed that girl!
On Tuesday night we went to see the play "Annie Get Your Gun" at Hale Center Theater. It was great! I really like that theater. Seats surround the stage, and the actors come up through the floor and all around the theater. It's cool. The show was very good. I liked the lady who played Annie. She was excellent. And I love the songs. Even MT enjoyed it. He went with me to be nice, but he didn't really think he'd like it. I don't think he likes it when people burst into song. Being around T and I must drive him nuts. We sing randomly and often.
Wednesday night the Jazz played. We watched on TV. MT watched about seven minutes of the first quarter, declared that the Jazz would lose, and went upstairs. I watched until the bitter end. The Jazz did lose. GRRR. I think Deron Williams needs to start scoring in the first half, and Carlos Boozer needs to find his shot. Go in Carlos!! Go in! I admit that I am a Laker hater, especially the MVP. Yes, I acknowledge that he is a superb player, but I just plain old don't like him. I think he's kind of a punk a** b****! (T hates it when I say it.) The game got over late, so I went to bed around midnight, and I've kinda been tired all day.
Today we were mellow. Watched Survivor. I like that show. The women this season are ruthless! I do not know what that Erik guy was thinking tonight. Dummy.
OH! The Mexico scrapbook is done!!! HOORAY! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I think this weekend I'll go over to Michael's and get some stuff for the 2008 vacation scrapbook. Scrapbooks are kicked up photo albums. Mine isn't especially fancy, but I like it.
I've got to get outside and have some fun in my yard. It looks so freakin' ghetto, I can't stand it. MT has been busy working on the FR, so I should probably get my large bum outside and whack some weeds and maybe figure out a place to plant some flowers. When my dad comes in a week or so, I hope that we will build a fence to cut the backyard in two, basically, and get ourselves a little privacy from the busy road we live on.
Have I mentioned how much I miss my son? I know he's living the good life with the grandparents, but I miss having him around.
GO JAZZ!

Just wanted you to know I'm home again. I can tell you that I miss your son too. He's a lot of fun and we had a great time at Universal studios. Thank you for coming down and visit while I was in La Mirada. I really enjoyed seeing you again. I too like the breakfast and meeting all of M's relatives (I hadn't met them before). I loved our trip to San Diego and the Pacific highway home. It was just too short though.Next time you have to come to Sweden! You are so welcome. Love you. Kiss Mia
(Don't be sad about gaining some pounds. I did too :-))
