Down two more pounds at weigh-in this week! That brings my total to 28 lbs lost! Feels great. I even ate an extremely cheesy chili verde enchilada this week. It was delicious. In my past, I was easily able to demolish two enchiladas plus all the rice and many many chips with salsa. This week, one enchilada, about 5 chips, two bites of rice and two bites of beans and I'm good.
I love the two bite theory. In my WW meeting one day they talked about how the first two bites of anything taste the best. So now if I want something that isn't my best choice, I'll just have two bites and I'm usually good. Here's an example: one night MT and I went to Chili's. He ordered the rib eye steak. I love rib eye steak, but it's not a good choice for me. I asked MT for a couple of bites. He obliged and I savored those two bites! And I was good with it. I continued to eat my whatever I ate that night (salmon?) and I was fine. Here's another example: we had cake at work the other day. I ate two bites of cake. It was delicious and I was done. Did I want to eat more? Damn straight! But I knew it wouldn't help me reach my Big Hairy Audacious Goal, so it wasn't worth it.

How about that Michael Phelps? How exciting! I can just imagine how proud his mom is of him right now.
Last night during the final relay, we were all gathered in the TV room to watch the race. My FIL sat in the chair; MT, T, my MIL and I were all on the couch. When the race started we all kind of leaned forward, muttering encouragement to the swimmers. We all got a little louder until we were yelling at the TV. When Lezak touched the wall, we all cheered and slapped hands. That was so great! I told T that through the years, whenever he watches the Olympics and they talk about how Michael Phelps made history, he will remember where he was and who he was watching history with. God, I love sports!
