#159 hanging with the fam

Last night we went to a coffee house in Altadena to watch the duo Berkley Hart perform. The guys were great. I love their music! Their voices are so sweet; I don't know which one I like more! Berkley will sing and I'll think, "Man, he's so great. I like his voice the best!" Then Hart will sing and I'll think, "No, he's the best!" Obviously, they are phenomenal. If you don't know their music, you should find out more about them immediately! I'm looking forward to their new cd - coming soon, I hope!

The best part about seeing Berkley Hart was that I also got to see my sister! I don't get to hang out with her nearly enough. She surprised us by stopping by the parent's house before going to the show. I was able to ride to Altadena with her and chat and catch up. It was really great.

Today was a little confusing in the morning. It's strange when you don't know what time it is. I wasn't sure which clocks had been set to the "fall back" time, so I was confused for about an hour.

Dad made a delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy - not WW regulations but I was careful!). After breakfast I watched a little football (Green Bay and Tennessee) until I fell asleep in the chair. Mom woke me up and we went shopping. I got a new pair of shoes and a sweater. I also picked out a Christmas present for myself. Thanks Mom! It was fun to try stuff on a show it to someone who really cares about you and what you look like. We did a little more shopping then had some lunch at Baja Fresh. iDelicioso!

Now we are all back home. Dad will be making his famous catfish for dinner. I'm sure we'll watch The Amazing Race and I'll pack my bag for my trip home (alone) tomorrow.
