HOORAY! Osi has been living with us for one year! She was such a cute puppy, now she's a beautiful, smart and wonderful dog. I just love her.
This morning I took her for a walk at my new favorite place, City Creek. There's an off-leash dog area there that is a path along the creek with some easy spots to actually get to the creek. She loved being in the water. She was very good and always stopped for me when I told her "Watch me."
There was only one weird moment. We were walking up the path and a lady with a little fluffy Pomeranian-type dog was coming toward us. I was holding Osi on her leash and the pom totally attached Osi. The stupid dog came running toward us, teeth bared and literally leaped at my dog who understandably freaked out a little. The pom's owner was mortified by her dog's rascally behavior. She apologized over and over. Everything was fine, there was no blood. Isn't that strange, though?
It seemed like the little yipper dogs were the worst out there. A crazy terrier also was very aggressive toward us. On the other hand, the bigger dogs were very mellow. One HUGE dog, his head came up to my hip, directly in line with the treat bag I was carrying, stood there staring at the treat bag while I warned his owner about the crazed Pomeranian up the path.
Osi was all tuckered out after our nice walk. I will certainly take her there again. It was really fun!
In other news, T took a giant step in the pool today. He willfully put his head under the water. MT was so proud! T has always been nervous about putting his head under the water, but today he finally did it. Then he did it again and again and again and again and again...you get the idea.
And now it's a quarter to 11. Weekends just go by so quickly. This will be a fun week, though.
T reminded me that I need to finish the Mt Rushmore story. I know and I will another time. I've got to get to bed. Gym-thirty comes EARLY in the morning.
