Tonight I'm going to complain about the zumba class I attended this evening. I was really looking forward to zumba because I didn't get a chance to do a zumba class last week, and I needed to shake my hips and get into the music.
There are two teachers who alternate Thursday nights. I thought I was getting one, Deena, but it was the other one, Mary Jane. Mary Jane is a perfectly nice woman, but I really don't like her zumba routines. In fact, it didn't feel zumba-y at all. One song she did was sort of rock and we did the air guitar move. Pathetic! To top it off, she sang along to some of the words. Not my favorite.
I tried to stick with it, but I ended up leaving early because the only reason my heart rate was elevated was because I was annoyed.
Disappointing. There is nothing like a high-energy zumba class. It is so much fun! Here's hoping it will be better next week.
I am going to go to the early morning yoga class tomorrow. Here's hoping that I'll be able to get home, get cleaned up and dressed, eat a bite of breakfast and get T to school on time. It will be tricky!
