I haven't written for a couple of weeks, and it's not because I'm still bitter! :P I just don't think I've been doing anything blog-worthy. It's been pretty quiet around our house lately. MT's been working a lot. T's been busy with school and of course with his video games. I've just been going along, doing my things.
Work has been pretty crazy. I've been exercising a lot, but not really doing a good job with my eating, so I gained nearly three pounds this week. GRRR! I'm frustrated with myself. I know what I need to do AND how to do it, but when you've come so far and you're so close and you work out so hard, it's really easy to say yes to foods that you should say no to, at least for awhile. Or maybe say no more than you say, "Well, ok." Do you know what I mean? I think it would be ok to go out for lunch and have something slightly wicked once a week, but not two or three times a week. That's how I got in this predicament in the first place!
Weekends are usually tough for me, so I've been very thoughtful and careful and watchful this weekend. I'll be ok. I talked with the WW leader and she told me that when she got close to goal, she didn't track her points as closely and she kind of let off the gas, so to speak. She said her last 20 pounds were very hard to lose. She encouraged me to just keep going and doing all the things that have got me where I am now. So I'll just keep on keepin' on. My clothes aren't getting tight, and I feel good physically; I just need to get back in the game mentally. Because I'm not gonna lie to you...the view from this plateau is starting to get old!
So what's in store for October? Well, MT and I are going to see Nickelback in concert this month. I'm going to the dentist. T has three days off from school this month. We should really start seeing and feeling a change in the weather. Some of the trees are already getting yellow leaves, and you can see red in the mountains where the leaves are changing. Maybe my dad and his sister will come for a visit? MT and I may sign on a new rental property this month. We actually think we will get this one! And October is my FAVORITE sports month: you've got college and pro football, the baseball playoffs and the Jazz pre-season. HOORAY for October. Check in with me in the next couple of days for my baseball picks! :P (Bummer that the Padres couldn't win one more time today.)
I guess that's all for now. Have a great week!
