It's time for Jazz basketball! I lucked into some tickets for the game tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves - the return of Andrei Kirilenko to the ESA.
Andre played for the Jazz for ten seasons before he left the NBA for Europe/Russia during the lockout season. Now he's back in the NBA playing for the T-Wolves and this will be his first time back in the arena. It will be interesting to hear his reception by Jazz fans. He was popular here, but he had a HUGE contract - the maximum the NBA would allow. Fans here have high expectations for a guy making that kind of money, and AK didn't always live up to the expectations. And he can be emotional. I think he cried once during the playoffs and that turned some people off. Still, he was a good player, if not exceptional, and he was liked. I hope he doesn't get boo-ed. It's ok if he plays well, but the Jazz really need to win!
