#859 it's snow and flu season

T has been ill this weekend. It started on Friday. He told me he had a sore throat and a headache. Yesterday morning he was sniffling and coughing a little, and I could just see that he wasn't feeling like his normal self. Today he's even worse, even though he has been taking medicine. He's had a bit of a fever, he's coughing and sneezing and sniffling and shivering then sweating. The tip of his nose is all red from constantly blowing and wiping. Poor kid.

He stayed home all day today, but MT and I went out for lunch. We went to a Mexican restaurant that we like that is near a couple of the rentals. MT wanted to go over to talk to the tenants about having an appraiser come over because we want to refinance one of the properties. While he was in the smaller house, someone from the bigger house came over to tell him that the water heater wasn't working in the bigger house. When MT went to check it out, not only was the water heater not working, but it was also leaking and there was an inch or so of water in some parts of the basement. :(  We drove over to Lowe's to buy a new water heater which MT will install tomorrow.Ah, the joys of being a landlord.
 
While we were having lunch, it began to snow, slowly and gently at first, then building into a regular blizzard out in our area. The wind was blowing hard in from the west; I couldn't tell if it was fresh snow falling or snow that was just blowing around. It was a bit of both, I think. It is still snowing, but the wind isn't blowing like it was. I'm ready for spring.
