#1191 day 2 of staycation

Today was a little more quiet than yesterday. I did some stuff from the list, but I felt a lot more mellow.

• Osi and I went for a walk. We went over to the field by the fitness center. I turned her loose in the field and I think she really enjoyed running around. The grass was very deep. I guess soccer season for the little kids is over. I wore my new Sketchers Go Walk 2 shoes. I like them a whole bunch! They may seriously be the most comfortable shoes I have ever had.

• After the walk, we went over to Petsmart to the groomer. Osi hates Petsmart. She refuses to get out of the car in the parking lot and always strains on the leash toward the car when we get close to the door of the building. When we get into the grooming room, she sits up close to the wall and gets kind of catatonic. She stares straight ahead, her pupils completely dilated and won't respond to anything. Often when the groomer comes over to check her out and put the leash on her, she pees. Thankfully she did not pee today, but she did have to be dragged partway to the door of the grooming area. I don't know why she acts like that! The groomers tell me that once they get her on the table to be groomed, she is very sweet and mild-mannered.  I have her shaved so she is cool and comfortable. I also bought her a cow femur to chew on here at home. She loves it!

• With Osi safely at Petsmart, I walked around Kohls, Marshalls, Maurices and Target. I found some cute things, but the only thing I bought were some all-natural treats for Osi. I didn't mind looking at stuff, but I wasn't in the mood to try anything on. I actually felt pretty frumpy. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror in the home section of Marshalls and I looked straight out of the hidden camera footage of What Not to Wear. I was wearing huge baggy shorts and a big shapeless t-shirt and my Sketchers that are super comfy but not that cute.  Plus my hair was all flat because I'd had it pulled back in a pony-tail during the walk. In fairness, I had been out walking the dog, but I should have gone home and changed. I looked terrible. 

• After I picked T up from school, I grabbed a book and a blanket and went outside to lay on the grass in the sun. The weather today was much cooler and more pleasant than yesterday. The breeze was blowing gently and the sun felt so good!

All in all, it's been a nice day. I have enjoyed the past couple of days and I get another free day tomorrow! Yahoo!!
