#1219 weekend plans, LeBron and Welcome to Sweden
I've got a big fat weekend o'fun planned. I'll start tomorrow by taking some antibiotics before I go to the dentist for a cleaning. I have to take antibiotics now before I go to the dentist because of my new knee. When my teeth are clean and shiny, I'll go to the WW meeting, and then I get to have a haircut! Busy morning! In the afternoon I think that I will watch soccer and pull out the clothes I'm planning to take on vacation to do a last minute inventory of what I want or think I need.
On Sunday I get to go see the musical Wicked! I'm terrifically excited about it. I read the book, and I've heard a few songs, but I don't really know anything specific about the musical. I'm just happy to go.
Now let's talk about LeBron...
LeBron James, probably one of the best basketball players in the world today, announced that he is leaving the Miami Heat to go back to his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers. I like it. I think it's awesome that he's going back home, and I like the way he made the announcement to Sports Illustrated. It was waaaaaay better than the televising his Decision, like he did four years ago. Good job LeBron! I'm much more interested in the Cavs now.
One more thing...
Tonight I watched a TV show called Welcome to Sweden. I was interested in the show because my aunt Mia is from Sweden and whenever we meet, I love to hear her talk about life in her country. I also love her blog for the same reason. People are people and we all do more or less the same thing, but things happen a little differently in other countries.
The show made me giggle because there were a couple of scenes that were totally as Mia has described. One such scene was the family having dinner outside. They were singing and drinking and laughing and thoroughly enjoying their meal. Mia has often described similar situations. In fact, as I was watching the scene, I could totally picture Mia watching and singing along with the drinking song. That's what made me giggle even more.
Another scene was when the men were in the sauna. The Swedish men were all naked and the American guy had on a towel. The Swedes told him to lose the towel and when he did, he had on swim trunks. Mia and I have had this conversation a few times. She loves to go to spas and they go in the sauna all naked. I tell her that I couldn't/wouldn't do that; I would definitely wear a suit. Culture difference, huh?
It was a cute show and I will like watching it. My mom says it was filmed in Sweden. It looks gorgeous. We'll have to make sure we get there someday, which leaves me with this thought:

Well, I have told you to come here :-) And yes it's actually filmed here in Sweden and most of it in Stockholm and the archipelago.
Of course it's a bit exaggerated but it does tell our story ;-)
I'm glad you can picture me like that and I can tell you I sang my heart out last weekend in Dalarna at the singalong :-)
We have a Spa here called yasuragi which is a Japanese spa and there you have this big room where you sit down naked and follow a ritual to wash your body (Japanese of course) As I grow older I must say I'm not that comfortable anymore to sit down with 20 or more strange women while washing myself. So I haven't been there for a couple of years but I used to go a lot before.
I'm looking forward to your vacation and seeing photos from it as well.
Take care now! Love you and I send hugs and kisses to you all
Aunt Mia :-)
