#1285 a new driver, a new car

I typically write on even days during even months, so I should have written last night, but I didn't. As often happens on Fridays, I was extremely tired. I laid on my bed watching the baseball game and reading until I fell asleep. To make up for it, I'll write a little today and tomorrow to get back on schedule :)

The big news here is that T got his real-life driver's license on Thursday! He is officially a driver now. I know that he will be fine and I trust him, but I admit that I am apprehensive and I did not sleep well on Wednesday night. Part of the sleeping problem was that Osi had a seizure, but she recovered and fell back to sleep way faster than I did. I recognize now that the anxiety over having a teenage driver might have contributed to the fact that I didn't sleep well.

Anyway...

Today I am going to look at cars. T will be driving my little Toyota and I will be driving something newer. I am not a car girl. I know there are people who are all about what they drive and are, well, car people, I guess. I'm not that way. My car is a way for me to get where I need to go. I need it to be in a certain price range, I need it to get good gas mileage because I commute, and I need it to be comfortable, easy to handle and reliable. That's not much, is it? I do have some ideas, but I don't know if they will fit in my budget. We'll see.

T told me that he would devote his day to helping me look for a car. Funny, right? I doubt that I'll write tomorrow telling you I got a new car, but I hope that I am a little closer to knowing what I want.

Wish me luck!
