I totally get sucked in by awards shows. Tonight I only meant to watch Taylor Swift's performance of Blank Space on the American Music Awards, but here I am three hours later, ready for bed, but not finished with the things I told myself I would get done today. Oh well.
I don't put a lot of stock in the AMAs anyway, because they are voted on by the fans which would explain why One Direction won so many times and why Iggy Azalea would beat out Drake and Eminem for best rap artist and best rap album. Umm...no. Just no.
Some of the performances were good. I really liked Imagine Dragons and Taylor Swift. There were lots of others, too, but I guess nothing really sticks in my mind. Oh, I liked Charli XCX too.
Now it's time for me to get to bed. I only have to work on Monday and Tuesday this week. I decided to take Wednesday off to do some cooking and get ready for the family's arrival. Thursday is Thanksgiving and Friday is a work holiday. Should be fun!
