Last night T asked me if I wanted to go watch his high school's production of The King and I. Several of his friends are in the show, including Trent, so I was glad to go support T's friends and the school.
I've never seen the movie of The King and I, but I did know a couple of the songs. Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals are classic. I bet everyone knows at least one song they wrote. I mean South Pacific? Oklahoma? The Sound of Music? Genius!
The production of the play was good. The girl played Anna had a beautiful voice and did a great job. T's friend Alek was the King, and I thought he was adorable in his kingly manners. He was very good. Trent and Connor and Jacob (T's friends) were excellent priests. :)
I know from talking to Trent that everyone worked really hard on the show and I'm sure all of the cast, crew and parents breathed a big sigh of relief after tonight's performance.
What a nice way to start the Thanksgiving weekend!
