T and his friends Ben, Connor and Trent helped MT at the new property today. We will now call the new place the Rambling Rambler. It was a small house that got additions at each end, so it just rambles across the lot in a straight line. It's a rectangle with a wide spot in the middle. It's kind of strange and a complete disaster. The boys spent the day doing demolition, a task at which T excelled, I'm told. Not a surprise. He can be very destructive. It was probably kind of fun for him to bash into a wall and not get in trouble for it.
After a long day of work, T and the friends are out having fun with the money they made. MT and I watched some TV and read. We are such boring people! I would go to bed but I can't/won't go to bed until T gets home. His curfew is 11:30 tonight - I gave him an extra half hour. I hope he doesn't call to ask to stay out until midnight.
It was a very nice day here. The sky was blue and the temperature was near 50 degrees. I wore a t-shirt under a fleece pullover and felt comfortable when I was out and about. I really appreciate a mild winter!
Oh! I started taking my second on-line travel class this afternoon. The class is about the cruise market. We have been on three cruises. The two we took in the Caribbean we really liked; the one we took on the Mexican Riviera we didn't like as much. To be clear, we enjoyed our ports of call, but we spent too much time on the ship. There were two sea days on the return trip and that's too much for us. As I was doing the first lesson, I was reminded about how fun it was to anticipate the cruises. Figuring out where we wanted to go and then learning about the ports of call and thinking about what to wear and then finally getting the packet from the travel agent that included the cruise booklet - so fun! Our last cruise was in 2010, I think. I wouldn't mind taking another shot at it.
It probably won't happen this year, though. We are considering taking a trip to Hawaii this year. Jake and Linda, my in-laws, are celebrating their 40 year anniversary and were thinking of going to Hawaii and we asked if we could join them. MT has been doing a little research and I'm going to take a look at it, too. We've never been to the Hawaiian islands. MT and I would like to go a little more south in the South Pacific, but Hawaii will be fun, I hope. We'll see how it all plays out.
