Oh. My. God. I just love this picture so much that when I saw it in the album I absolutely had to share it with you. I'm the tall one and that's my little sister Lizzie next to me. Take yourself back in time with me to 1974. Easter. Southeast Idaho.
My aunt Mary would make a lot of our clothes. I believe I was already into the Little House on the Prairie books, which might explain the bonnets. Or maybe bonnets just go with Easter dresses. Maybe it was a Holly Hobby thing. I can't explain it. I can only revel in the memory. Little Lizzie looks lost.
I found this pic in my photo album because today is National Sibling Day and I was looking for a photo of Lizzie and I. There are other pics that are cuter, but this one made me smile so much that it was the winner.
If I remember correctly, these were not the only dresses we had that were the same.
But those bonnets though!
Here's a posed pic of Lizzie and I in the dresses. No bonnets, though.
Isn't Lizzie the cutest?! I was already awkward at 8. Oy.
Happy Sibling Day to my one and only sister. You rock!
