#1933 how many pics of horses do we need?

All of them! We need all the photos of all the horses that we saw on our beach and in our yard. To keep it simple, I will only share one horse photo for each day we were there.Well, we didn't see any the very first day we were there, on Sunday, because we came through at nearly high tide and the horses aren't dumb. They know enough to be off the beach during high tide.

So here is the Horse-a-Day series:

Monday
Monday was a stormy, stormy day so we were excited to go for a walk and see our first wild mustangs on the beach. I took three horse photos on Monday.

Tuesday
On Tuesday morning the horse in this photo wandered down the sand dune, up the driveway of the house next to ours, stepped over the fence and came into our front yard. It ate some grass and then started eating the fruit that is in the tree to the right. When it had it's fill, it walked down our driveway and went away. I took five photos of this horse.

Wednesday
This is one of my favorite photos. On Wednesday the skies had cleared and the ocean was calm(er) and it was cool to see this little herd of five horses walking on the beach. This photo was taken around sunset. I took 15 photos of horses on this day, but it was a horse-rich day. There was one in the back yard at sunrise, then there were some out on the beach later in the morning when we went for a walk, then this herd in the evening. I think this is walk was where Lizzie and I decided we had to take all the horse photos we could.

Thursday
This horse came right into the carport and clomped around before making a pile of poo. After that, he joined his friend for breakfast at the tree in the front yard. Fun story: Lizzie's room was above the carport and she thought the clomping sound was someone was playing handball. I took 14 horse pics on Thursday. Besides the horse in the carport, there was a good size herd (at least six mustangs) that we saw during the morning walk, and then a single horse during the pre-sunset stroll. The photo ops had to be taken!

Friday
This shot is taken from the top of the dune at the house. I'd had a bit too much to drink and didn't think I could get back down onto to beach to get a more close-up photo, but I think this one came out pretty well. You get a good view of the beach road and where the cars park. I only took three horse photos on Friday, but I also took six drunken selfies. (sigh)

Saturday
Saturday was our last full day at the house and these fellas were just hanging out down at the side and in the back of the house. A testament to the fact that we were accustomed to the horses is that not everyone rushed out to the balconies to take a bunch of photos of these two and their friend who isn't in the photo. Usually someone would say, "There's a horse in the yard" and all of us would rush out to find it and take a photo. In fact, this photo is the only horse photo I took on Saturday!

If my math is right, I have 41 photos of horses that I took over a six day span. Here's the thing though: people pay money to go on tours to look at these horses. There were always tour vehicles driving on the beach when we went out for walks. I guess I feel like we were fortunate that all we had to do was take a walk on the beach or look out our windows to see the wild mustangs roaming around.

Sorry I skipped writing on Wednesday 10/4. MT and I had the opportunity to go watch the Utah Jazz play. It was a pre-season game against a team from Israel. It was also our first chance to see the newly remodeled Vivint Smart Home Arena and the newly remodeled suite. I don't think the suite remodel is very sweet, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't go if I had the chance! The Jazz won the game, by the way.

I'll be back on Sunday!
