#1950 Sunday matinee: Thor Ragnarok

Today MT and I decided to hang out together and do stuff other than sitting on the couch. We were up fairly early (thanks, fall back) so we went out for breakfast, took a short drive up American Fork Canyon, went shopping at the outlet mall in Lehi, then decided to go to a movie.

I realized that I hadn't watched a single movie in October. I probably caught bits and pieces of some movies on TV, but I didn't sit down and dedicate a couple of hours to pure film enjoyment in a whole month. There wasn't anything I was particularly interested in seeing at the theater and I guess not on TV either. The point is that I was ready for a movie experience, so I picked Thor Ragnarok.

You might be asking yourself, "Why in the world would she pick THAT movie?" Two words: Chris Hemsworth. The man is a specimen. He is so handsome and charming and it is not a hardship to watch him for a couple of hours. Also, Tom Hiddleston is Loki and I find him strangely attractive. Cate Blanchett is also in this movie, and she's great in everything. There's also a lovely actress, Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie. Oh! And Benedict Cumberbatch shows up early in the movie too. And the Hulk is there and Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins. It's just loaded. There is a lot of action and some funny parts. I like that the movie and the characters don't seem to take themselves too seriously. Overall, it was quite entertaining. I had popcorn and a soda and I enjoyed myself very much.

Another reason I picked this movie - I like the Avengers more than the Justice League.
