I am a woman who sweats. None of this "glow" business for me. When I workout, I get good and sweaty. Showering after a workout is pretty much a necessity. Not only do I get all clean, but then I put on moisturizer so I smell nice and my skin feels good. The warm shower also helps relax the muscles that have just worked hard.
There have been many times that I have struggled to sleep, but since I've been exercising I find that I fall asleep a lot faster and I reach deeper states of sleep. I have an app that I use called Sleep Cycle that tracks my sleep quantity and quality. The app also doubles as an alarm clock. I set it for the time I want to wake up and it quietly plays a beautiful melody to rouse me from my slumber. I've been using the app for quite awhile and I really like it.
In the Weight Watchers meeting this week, we talked about getting enough sleep and developing a bedtime routine. It's not just for babies, you know! Figuring out a nice way to wind down after a long day is a simple pleasure.
