#2004 family movie matinee: Black Panther

comicbook.com

Probably the most hyped movie to come out since the Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out in December, Black Panther has been in everyone's conversations and on everyone's Twitter feed since before it came out last week. Such tremendous anticipation cannot be overlooked; fear of missing out is thing not to be messed with. So, with Tristan home for the day, the three of us decided to go to the movies.

I was completely entertained by this movie. The world building of Wakanda is beautiful. The characters are not only portrayed by gorgeous actors, but have actual character. The story is good. The action is exciting. The music is great. The costumes are incredible. And it was lots of fun!

Movies based on comics can be fun. I think I like the Marvel movies more than the DC movies. (Marvel has Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Panther, to name a few. DC is Superman and Batman and their friends.) You don't have to have seen all the previous Marvel movies to enjoy Black Panther; it stands alone.

My favorite thing about Black Panther is the role of the women. They are all strong, smart and tough. They are also beautiful and unique. It was awesome to see women portrayed this way top to bottom.
