Last year I often went to the Garden after work on a weeknight to record blooms. In July it was so hot that I couldn't bring myself to go up after work, even though it usually is a bit cooler and breezy there in the evening. There have been a lot of concerts this summer, too, and they close the Garden early on concert nights, so scheduling was challenging. I switched to going immediately after the WW workshop on Saturday, and that has been working out well.
It was quiet up there today. The tram driver was busy, I didn't have many people to chat with. I got them on the tram and sent them on their way. I thought it was hot. There wasn't much of a breeze and I haven't been feeling great. That cough is lingering and my nose is stuffy, but at least I don't want to lay down all the time. I feel more energetic than I did on Thursday for sure.
Last night MT and I went to the final Bluebird Cafe show of the season at Sundance. The songwriters were good. They had all written songs for Maren Morris and Lady Antebellum. One guy had big hit with Blake Shelton. I liked the show just fine. I thought last week's show was the best of the season. MT and I decided we liked Saturday night shows better, so if we decide to buy tickets next year and Sundance decides to have shows on Saturday again, I think we'll stick with Saturday. So much more relaxed getting up there and back down. It will mean four less wedding opportunities at RBG, potentially, but I'm good with it.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
