One of the songs that was played was "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks. That song always makes me smile because 1) it's a great song and 2) it reminds me of being in Canada with Dad and Lizzie.
In June 1992, Dad, Lizzie, and I drove up through Montana and into Alberta, Canada. We decided to come back down through Waterton National Park, and we ended up spending the night in Waterton. What I most remember is that we went into the Thirsty Bear Saloon and had drinks. I think it was the first time I had drinks with my dad. The three of us were just hanging out, drinking LaBatt (I'm pretty sure) and chatting. There was some great music playing. I remember that when we got home, Lizzie and I made a Thirsty Bear mixtape. One of the songs that was playing was "Friends in Low Places." So now I think about drinking Canadian beer with my dad and my sister whenever I hear that song.
Sadly, I don't have any photos in the bar, but here are a couple of photos from that trip.
This was in the Alberta Visitor Center. For some reason there was a saddle set up on a rail and Dad climbed on up and made this look-no-hands face. Still cracks me up.
The photo below is Dad and Lizzie at the Gazebo Cafe. (It was written on the back of the photo. There's no way I would have remembered that!) I don't remember eating here or anything, but there it is. They look cute.

Where was I?
I think of that trip when I hear that song too. It was a really fun time. Good memories for sure.
