#2245 The Wood Brothers and Colter Wall

I worked at my final concert of August tonight. The main artist was The Wood Brothers, a trio. The music is a little country, a little blues. The three of them made some joyful noise. I didn't stay for the whole show. I got little cold and a lot hungry. I'm eating pizza right now as I write. It's nearly 11:00, so it's unusual for me to be eating anything this late, but my tummy was growling!

The opening act was a young man called Colter Wall. This dude was pure old school country. He had a deep, deep voice and his band featured a slide guitar and a Dobro. The sold out crowd LOVED him. Before I left, Colter came out to sing with The Wood Brothers and it was fantastic. The four of them gathered around one mic. With only a stand-up bass and an acoustic guitar, they harmonized on a sweet old-timey tune and it was magic.

This is my final post for a few days. I'm heading out of town for the Labor Day weekend, so let's catch up on September 3, okay? Have a great weekend!
