#2340 three things: the workbook, the hot sauce, and the lotion

I felt the need to do some online shopping this week, so I hopped on Amazon.com and got after it. Here's what I bought:

1. The workbook. I have been learning French through the Babbel app since September. I feel pretty good about my progress, but the thought of forming sentences fills me with fear and self-doubt, which is quite similar to how I feel about Spanish. I have been taking notes when I do the lessons with the app because writing things down reinforces the learning for me. I decided to go a step further by purchasing this beginner/intermediate French workbook. I think it will be a fun addition to my learning.

2. The hot sauce. When we travel, we often like to bring stuff home with us that we especially like. In Belize, we totally fell for Marie Sharps amazing hot sauce. Our house isn't a home without Marie Sharps in the fridge. It is tasty and spicy and absolutely adds flavor to all foods. I love it on eggs. It gives rice an extra kick. Tacos...yes please and lots of it. The hot sauce takes mac & cheese to a whole new level. I usually buy a couple of bottles in the 10 oz size of this green and the red, but all I could get was this wee five oz bottle of green unless I wanted to buy a six pack of each flavor. I'll have to keep my eye open for the red to be available again.

3. The lotion. In one of the restrooms at work, someone put a tube of this coconut lemon lotion by Everyone. I love it. I have often thought about getting it, but have often forgotten when I look at Amazon.com. On Tuesday, though, I remembered.

The thing is that this lotion is sold at Whole Foods. I could buy it on Amazon, but through Whole Foods who would then charge me an extra $4.99 to deliver it. Why would I spend $4.99 extra on a $10 bottle of lotion? So today I took myself over to Whole Foods and bought it myself. I'm very happy to have this ginormous bottle of lotion because there is no moisture in the air in my house or my town.

Even when I was contemplating ordering the lotion online, I was planning to get a tube of lotion to go in my office, I got a different scent, This is lavender aloe and it's also fantastic. With all the extra hand washing I've been doing, I could really use the extra hydration of the lotion with the bonus that it smells wonderful and feels smooth. It absorbs into my skin beautifully. I'm very pleased with my purchases.

Time to go practice my French!

Good for you to learn more french Tres bien ma fille! The lotion sounds good, I wonder if I could smell it. The sauce might be too hot for me :)
