#2341 Saturday with Sandy

Why is it that Saturday goes by so fast? I thought I would have more downtime at home today, but I really haven't, and now it's almost 8pm.

I started out, as usual, as WW. My weight was down a little, so I was glad. I struggled this week. Weight loss can be such a mental thing. I was doing all the right things as far as making good food choices and getting in some physical activity, but I just didn't feel satisfied, I guess. I'm good though. Everything is fine.

After the WW workshop (that's what we call it now), I went to get my hairs cut. It's getting pretty long, past my shoulders, and I just want to keep growing it. I get it trimmed every 14 weeks or so. My next appointment is in June. I've been going to the same stylist for nearly 20 years. She has been with me through all the growing and cutting short and growing some more and coloring and not coloring and watching my hair change textures as I get older. She's great.

The next stop was Costco. I haven't been there in a long time and I felt like I wanted to get some ground beef and some chicken breasts to have in the freezer. I also got lettuce and strawberries. And some brownie mix. We love brownies. Yes, I can and do have a brownie every now and then. I track the points, enjoy the treat, and move on.

I came home and had a bite to eat, then went to the regular grocery store. Tomorrow during my cooking time, I plan to make sloppy joes and chicken enchilada skillet. MT and Kelly can eat those foods on Monday and Tuesday night when I go to the gym. If there are any leftovers, we will have them for dinner on Thursday. On Wednesday night I will cook something for all of us; I'm thinking cheeseburgers. Sometimes a homemade cheeseburger is the very best thing.

After all the grocery shopping, I laid down for half an hour under my weighted blanket. I enjoyed that. I'm having kind of a hard time with the blanket at night. I like it at first, then I get too warm. Maybe the blanket isn't something for every day for me. I'm working through it.

Now I think I might watch something on TV. Last night I watched the first episode of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus. It might be fun to watch another episode. On the other hand, I've started to get involved in a book, and maybe I'll just keep reading.

I really want to participate in a 5K walk this month. I'd like to do one every quarter, actually. There is a 5K on Saturday in which participants get a green shirt and a top hat - it's kind of a St. Patrick's Day thing. Maybe I'll do that one. I need to decide pretty quickly! I also need some new walking shoes. I got a gift card to a sporting goods store, so maybe I'll go over to the store tomorrow and find some good shoes. I'll keep you posted on this adventure.

One more thing...

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour tonight. It's time for daylight savings time in the USA.

I hope you are having a good weekend!
