Like I said, we were low-key on Saturday. We picked up food from Cafe Rio for late lunch/early dinner. It was delicious. I made a banana cake with cream cheese frosting that is extremely yummy. Rich and tender and decadent, for real.
Today was another low-key mellow day. MT and I were planning to go for a bike ride, but it was a little chilly and MT wasn't feeling great. He didn't get a good night's sleep because he had a bout of acid reflux, so we decided not to go for a ride. We did go for a nice walk over at the fitness center.
I was annoyed, though, because there was garbage all over one of the soccer fields. Utah "re-opened" on Friday. During our walk on Saturday, we saw a lot of people having picnics on the soccer fields and in spite of the fact that there are many garbage cans right by the fields, people didn't seem to bother to clean up after themselves. Gross. Come on, people!
Tonight the three of us watched episodes five and six of The Last Dance. It is kind of fun to relive the memories of all those games. Of course, they haven't got to the 1996 - 97 and 1997 - 98 Finals. Those memories probably won't be as fun for me to relive.
Gidget the kitten is doing well. She no longer hides from us. She loves T and spent most of the day on his bed yesterday. He loves her back, but he is slightly allergic to her. He is sneezing and has a runny nose all the time, poor dude. She is quite vocal and responds to us when we meow at her. I prefer dogs.
I just want to say that I disagree with the "re-opening" of the state. I don't think there was any science behind the decision; I think it was purely driven by an arbitrary date of May 1. I'll be curious to see how this plays out.
