#2390 musical Monday: Heart of the Matter

First, a follow-up to my last post about my jaw problem. Although it does still hurt a bit, the jaw feels a lot better than it did on Saturday. I've been chewing well and haven't taken any more ibuprofen for it. I'm still not sure what happened exactly, but the situation seems to be improving.

Now, on with tonight's post.

A couple of weeks ago on Oprah's A Vision Forward, she introduced me to a man called Jay Shetty. I liked what he was talking about, especially his idea about taking TIME daily. TIME is;

Thankful
Inspiration
Meditation
Exercise

You can watch Jay and Oprah by clicking here.

Because I was interested in Jay, I decided to check out his podcast, On Purpose. The first episode that came up was his interview with Katherine Schwarzenegger-Pratt. Here's a link if you're interested. Katherine wrote a book about forgiveness. The discussion was interesting and made me think about who I would like to forgive and who I would ask forgiveness from. Mostly, though, every time either Jay or Katherine said the word forgiveness, I thought about a Don Henley song called Heart of the Matter from Don's excellent album The End of the Innocence.

I have been humming this song all day, so it made perfect sense to share it here with you. This clip is from The Eagles Hell Freezes Over tour. It's all just so good.

Have a good week! More words on Wednesday.
