#2418 Saturday with Sandy

I was up fairly early, although I wasn't the first one up this morning. MT was up and moving around early because he went to Idaho this morning. When he left, Mac and I went over to the park for her first walk. She was pretty squirrelly, as I expected. So many smells! So much grass! So many birds! So much stuff to look at! We only walked for about 20 minutes. I figured she was done when she plopped herself down in the shade with her tongue hanging out of her mouth. Tonight we took a short walk to the mailbox and she did well with that. We'll go back to the park in the morning and walk in a different area.

After the walk this morning, we went to Starbucks and I got her a puppacino (don't tell MT). She loved it, of course. She was a little hyper when we got home. I didn't know dogs could have a sugar rush. We won't do that every time, but I had to see how she'd react. Mostly she has been a very good girl today. Right now she is laying on the vent here in my computer room, completely worn out. Yay!

I bought her a few new toys from Petsmart. Some of the stuff I bought last week she isn't very keen on. I've split the toys into two boxes and I switch out the boxes every other day. I want to get her this toy that I found on Amazon:

It's an interactive puzzle toy. You put kibbles in some of the spaces and the dog has to try to figure out how to get the food. Another huskador owner put a video on the Facebook group showing her dog playing with a similar toy. Mac is quite smart and I think she will like this toy.

What else was happening today? The Jazz played in a double overtime game with the Denver Nuggets today. The Jazz lost but it was a good game. I actually fell asleep in the third quarter. I had a big ol' chicken sandwich for lunch and as soon as I got horizontal on the couch, it was over for me. I did wake up in time to see the end of regulation time and both overtimes. Only two games left until the playoffs begin on the 17th.

Not too much other stuff going on today. I did some laundry, bought a few groceries. I read, I napped. It's all good. I think I'll get to bed a little early tonight. Since MT isn't here, I'll have the whole bed to myself. Well, Mac will be there too, but that's okay.

I hope you had a nice day!
