Like most Saturdays this year, today was not very exciting, but I'll tell you about it anyway.
Mac woke me up at 6:30. I didn't want to get up that early, but my furry alarm clock has a shrill bark and is insistent. I fed her, then we sat outside for awhile. She was happy playing in the yard with her squeaky ball, throwing it around and chasing it. She then found her bone and brought it up to the pillow that is on the deck where she chewed on the bone for awhile. I played with my phone and read a bit.
MT wanted to take his truck to the shop this morning, so we did that then went to the park for a walk with Mac. We walked two miles this morning. It was a good walk and Mac was tuckered out when we got home. I made a nice big breakfast, then I went upstairs to get something and ended up falling asleep on my bed for a couple of hours with Mac. It was a good sleep.
This afternoon was hot and smoky. There are wildfires here in Utah and we are getting smoke from the fires in California as well. The smoke is settling here in the valley and it's pretty yucky. You can't see the mountains on either side of us and the air is brown. And did I mention it is hot? So hot and so dry and so smoky. It's best to just stay inside, so I did. I made a shopping list and read. The Heat/Pacers game was on in the background. It was peaceful.
For dinner tonight we had take out from our local restaurant, Thai This. I think their pad Thai is good. All three of us like it. I also had a Thai ice tea with cream. It was so tasty!
Now I'm thinking about taking a quick shower to wash off the day then doing a bit of reading.
