#2465 thankful for a little football

Tonight is the first game of the Utah football season. It is the third game on their schedule; the first two games had to be cancelled because of COVID. I haven't been tuning in to local sports talk radio, so I know very little about the team this year. In fact, I didn't even know the quarterback.

Nevertheless, here I am, sitting on my couch, all snuggled up in a blanket watching Utah football on TV. I've been reading and listening to the flow of the game, looking up when I hear excited voices or if something catches my eye. There are no fans in the stands, so that crazy loud crowd noise that is typical of a Utah home game is definitely missing.

I prefer to watch football games on my couch. I hate being cold, for one thing, and I like to read. I'd much rather sit in my house, cozy and with a book, then sitting in the stands (if that were even a possibility).

Go Utes!
