Tonight, when I finally settled down to read and relax, I noticed that I was a little cold. That's not unusual; I often get a bit chilly when I stop moving around. I checked thermostat and the temperature in the house was 67 degrees. I have it set to 70 degrees. I checked the heat vent. It was cold. No warm air was coming out and hadn't been for a little while, it seemed.
Yesterday morning we had a similar situation and MT was able to go downstairs to the furnace and get it running again. We were fine yesterday and probably most of today. He couldn't get it running tonight, so it seems we will be in for a night under all the blankets when we get to bed.
We have a couple of space heaters, so we have them running down here by the kitchen so the pipes won't freeze. I will call a furnace repair shop first thing in the morning and work from home so I can be here when the repair person comes over. I really hope it is a simple thing that can be fixed easily. Such a bummer!
I am glad that we have space heaters for emergencies. I'm also thankful for my weighted blanket which I am pretty sure I will use tonight.
Here's how I might be dressed in the morning when the repair person arrives:
Send warm thoughts my way, please!
