#2671 Mac is sick

I knew something was wrong this morning when Mac wouldn’t eat her breakfast. She gave the kibbles a sniff, then walked away. A dog treat didn’t tempt her, but she did drink a little water. Then I noticed the little stains on the rug where she had spit up. I cleaned the spots, and told MT that Mac wasn’t feeling well.

He called me about an hour later to report that when he took the dogs out for a walk, Mac threw up pretty much immediately, so they didn’t go for a walk at all. He tried to give her a treat, but she wouldn’t take it. She wouldn’t even take the Kong.

I texted T to keep an eye on her. He told me she threw up a couple of times, which he cleaned up. He said she was kind of moping around, not being her usual high-energy self at all.

When I got home this evening, she was in the backyard and saw me from the side-yard when I pulled into the driveway. She gave a little woof and trotted to the back door. Although she was glad to see me and leaned up on me like she usually does, I could tell she was off. I took her for a walk, and she did fine until she turned around and decided it was time to go home.

She is still not eating. She is drinking some water. I know she has eaten something that isn’t good; she always eats crap (literal) and other junk she finds in the street, even though I do my best to keep her from doing those things. I hope she hasn’t picked up a parasite.

Harley is doing fine. She is eating like a champion and was enjoying the evening walk until she sort of figured out that everything wasn’t right.

If Mac doesn’t eat tomorrow, I will take her to the vet. I can’t stand to see my girl look so sad, and I’m worried about her. I am doing my best not to diagnose her or think the worst.

Please send out kind thoughts and good vibes to my sweet Mac.

Pobrecita. I'm glad you said she's feeling a little better today.
