#2684 please review

I attended a training session for work today. The training is a big deal at work, and we do similar training every year. So many people are required to attend, it takes three separate sessions to accommodate everyone. Today was the final session.

The classes are all created and presented by fellow employees. I know that each of them works hard on their Power Point presentations and are very cognizant of keeping the content informative, brief, and if possible, fun. It can't be easy to give the same presentation five or six times a day over three days. Every presenter did a great job. I learned something in every class, which is pretty cool, considering I have had this refresher with these same topics for at least a decade now.

But...

I am a bit of a nerd, and words are important to me. When I see incorrect words on a screen in front of a whole bunch of people, I cringe a little because with a wee amount of proofreading, everything would be fine.

I didn't intend to notice and take photos of the head-scratchers I saw today, but I couldn't help myself.  Of the five words I saw, three of them are spelled correctly, but are not the correct word. One word is misspelled, and one is a typo.  There was a sixth offender, but I didn't get a photo of it. It was the word MANOR instead of MANNER.

Meant to be DESCENT AND RESCUE

Non-existent

This one could be a typo; left the E off Zon(e)

What kind of COURSE was I taking? (LOL)

I think they want to boost MORALE

Although when I think about it, if we were looking at COARSE OBJECTIVES, maybe we want to boost MORALS.

Maybe next year, I will offer to review the presentations. I don't know. Maybe I am the only one that noticed anything was amiss. It's really not a big deal, I guess, and maybe I'm just being a meanie-pants.

But...

sigh.

Oh I feel for you.
When I was mentor teacher, I had to visit classrooms and 90% of them had "calendar" spelled as calender. I just had to tell them because that's a word that was there for the students to copy and spell. Well nobody took it well, and some didn't even correct them. And then there were the wrong words in Spanish (in the bilingual classes) soo wrong!! I didn't make any friends that year lol
