Tonight I volunteered at the She & Him concert at Red Butte Garden. “She” is Zooey Deschanel, you know, the actress. She can also sing! I enjoyed the show, although I wanted to give Zooey my jacket. She was wearing a cute, sleeveless dress, and it was cold out there tonight.
The opening act was also very good, three women who call themselves Jems. Each of the women had beautiful voices, and when they harmonized, it was glorious.
My volunteer work tonight was different from my usual gig. Tonight I checked wristbands at the donor terrace. I worked with two other women. I knew one of the women and the other was new to me. It’s a good gig with a great view of the stage.
It is late, and I’m feeling tired, and I’m feeling cold, so I had to make myself a cup of hot tea. I also took a melatonin so I could fall right to sleep. I’m so thankful I am able to work from home tomorrow because I will sleep in since I only have a two minute commute down the stairs.
Good night!
PS - did you see the full moon tonight? Awesome!!
