1. A mountain lion in West Valley. A couple of days ago I saw a message on one of my Facebook groups about a mountain lion that is apparently roaming around the town that I live in. I've seen a couple of different videos from Ring cameras, and when I was looking for a video to post here, I found this clip from the news. Dang! That's a big cat to be this far down in the valley. I hope the Dept of Wildlife finds it and takes it back into the mountains.
2. Dogs and cats communicate with buttons. Lately I have been fascinated and entertained by little reels on Facebook and Instagram showing dogs and cats pressing buttons to "talk" to their humans. Honestly, T and I must have stared at my phone for nearly 10 minutes watching these videos. Just now, when I was looking for videos to include in this post, I spent way more than 10 minutes watching Billi the Cat, Luna the Dog, and Bunny the Dog (among others - oh Lola is so cute!). If you're interested, google Fluent Pet. I couldn't decide which ones to share. I wonder how Mac and Harley would do with those buttons. I'm sure Mac's favorite buttons would be "treat" and "outside". Harley's would probably be "cuddle" or "scritches".
3. Coyote at Red Butte Garden. I haven't seen a coyote at RBG, but I've heard from a couple of volunteers that they have seen a coyote in the area. One volunteer told me that she saw the coyote up just past the Four Seasons Garden, and it was eating a rattlesnake. Another volunteer told me she had seen a coyote walking along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. I'll be on the lookout!
