Today is my first day out of isolation. The cough is pretty much gone, as is most of the stuffiness in my head, as well as the headache. YAY! The fatigue and body aches remain, but to a lesser degree. The dogs woke me up around 8:00 this morning, so I fed them, but I was not ready to be awake. I needed more sleep, so I came back to bed and slept for a couple more hours. I took a nice, long shower, then came downstairs (FREEDOM!!) and made myself a cup of tea and a piece of toast and read for a little while. Then I had to go lay down on my bed. That’s kind of been the pattern of the day.
The temperature today has been so pleasant - in the mid 70s. We even had rain! I’ve had the windows open in the house to let in the fresh air, and it felt so good. I would really love if the temperatures stayed in the 70s and 80s, but that’s probably a lot to ask for since it is only early August.
Tomorrow I plan to stay home and continue with my recovery. Although I hate being sick, I do like the slower pace. July was busy, fun, but busy. Finding my balance between fun and rest is my goal this month.
