Today is the fourth day since I tested positive for Covid, and my sixth day of actual illness. Here are the three things that I’ve noticed have affected me the most.
1. Fatigue. I don’t know when I have ever felt so tired from doing so little. Brushing my teeth literally causes me to have to sit down for a few minutes to catch my breath and rest. Coming up the stairs needs a few minutes to laying down time. I wiped some dust off a little table in my room, and I thought I’d have to take a nap. I haven’t had to sleep as much today as I have the past couple of days, but I have had to lie down often. Even sitting up for a period of time is tiring.
2. Aches. My whole body aches. My back, in particular, is a mess. I think part of it is being prone so frequently, but even when I walk around, it never seems to loosen up properly. My metal knees don’t creak and crack, but they are stiff. My neck is tender and doesn’t swivel properly. Don’t even get me started on the headaches. Waking up with a headache might just be one of the worst ways to start a day EVER. Probably if I drank more water, it would be helpful, but I’m sleeping/laying down a lot and you don’t really drink when you are in that state. Whenever I think about it, though, I reach over for a drink. I always have a glass of water near me.
3. Dizziness. I don’t know if this is a common symptom for people, but I have been dizzy since this virus came to visit. When I get up, I have to take a second to let the dizziness pass by or I stumble. When I bend down to get something, I must get back up slowly to avoid that head rush. Even last night, when I was lying in bed being still, it felt like the bed was moving in circles, kinda like when you’re drunk and the bed spins? Yeah, like that, but there was no alcohol involved.
*BONUS thing: the stuffy head and the cough. I am constantly blowing my nose. The cough is less frequent, but it has been strong and persistent today. The cough woke me up this morning and I know it contributed to the headache. Actually, this morning’s headache was pretty mild. It has been worse this afternoon. It took awhile for the Tylenol to kick in and tone it down.
I don’t know if I’m posting this for sympathy or for informational purposes. Probably both. I know it could be a lot worse, but let me assure you, this week has been NO FUN.
Wear a mask! Wash your hands! Don’t be like me!

It will take a few more days to get back to "normal" Are you taking anything other than Tylenol? Some of your symptoms are a bit like what I experienced with my 2nd booster, but of course not as strong and it only lasted 2 1/2 days. It's not fun. I think you are doing all you can do to wait till you are 100% recovered. I hope the boys are helping and taking care of the pups. It's nice how sweet they are keeping you company (the dogs :)
Love you and I hope you feel better every day. Take care, love you!

Hang in there!
