Three weeks from today, I'll be flying across the Atlantic on the way to Athens via Frankfurt. 20 days until my adventure begins with my first travel day to LA. I remember Lizzie and I saying at the start of September that the month would probably fly by, and it kind of has.
In trip prep land, yesterday we received our packets from Candice the Travel Agent. It was chock full of paperwork, including flight info, vouchers for transfers and excursions, hotel information, and the insurance policy. Today I picked up our euros from my bank, so we are set with money. We also got an invitation to a Zoom meeting on the 8th with our artist, Jill, and the tour operator, Carlo. Lizzie and I chatted this evening about weather in Athens, Chania, and Munich. (Soggy and chilly in Munich; mild and sunny in Greece.)
I'm trying not to be super-annoying about this trip, but I am excited, and yes, a little anxious, too. I get anxious about any trip. There are just so many things to think about!
