nothin' but a good time!

On Saturday night my best friend LA and I saw Poison in concert at the USANA Amphitheater. It was the second time I've seen the band, and they put on a good show. It's fun to sing and dance along with their songs. It looks like they are having a good time, and it looks like everyone in the audience was having fun, too.

The crowd was great. Yes, I saw a few mullets and a lot of fake boobs. I also saw young kids and people my age and everything in between. It was a total party atmosphere. It was awesome. I'd like to thank the guy in the red t-shirt who was standing next to me for giving me a good laugh and a friendly hug. I'd also like to thank the guy in the Red Sox cap who was in front of me for his dance moves. You rock, man!

The best part, for me, was hanging out with LA. She is the one who got me into the heavy metal hair bands of the late 80s and early 90s. She got me into Tesla, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and Poison of course, just to name a few. I don't think I've done anything to expand her musical horizons, but oh well!

She's a great friend and we've been to many really fun concerts together. We were thinking about our favorite concert memories. One of our favorites was Billy Idol, in late 1990 or very early 1991. I remember that she was very pregnant (had the baby in March '91). Billy was great. We seriously considered following the tour bus! Another fun concert was Nelson (I know!!) We were very close to the stage and we swear she had a moment of awesome eye contact with Gunnar. We saw Great White in the livestock arena of the Salt Lake Fairgrounds. What a great show! They really rocked. We've also seen Poison twice, and like I said, totally fun.

I will admit that I had to catch up on the "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" show on VH-1 on Sunday. That's entertaining!
