Everyone is gone now, and they took T with them, so the house is empty. It's just me, MT and our doggie. It's is incredibly quiet. I'm going to clean up the kitchen and vacuum and reclaim the house, I suppose.

T and I went to the library this morning. I got the next book in the Megan McCafferty series, Second Helpings I think it is called and I also got Shopaholic Ties the Knot by Sophie Kinsella. I love those easy to read mind-candy books! There was drama at the library. As we arrived, two women were coming out of the library, one of them pulling the other by the hair and both of them yelling obscenities in very loud voices. They were trailed by a bunch of other people including little kids. Then there was some slapping and more yelling. We got inside the building, but you could hear them yelling at each other from inside! A lady who I think was with them came in and asked the librarians to call the police, then that lady went outside and started yelling at all of them, then there was a guy (also with them) who started yelling at her. Sheesh! I hung out with T lest the family bring their drama back inside the library. When we left the police were there talking to everyone and it looked like they were issuing some citations (disturbing the peace?). It was pretty crazy for a Saturday morning at the library.

MT and I decided to go out for a date tonight. We started out by going to the dollar theater in Sugarhouse to see The Bourne Ultimatum. I don't usually like violent shows, but I've seen the other Bourne movies, and I knew that MT would really enjoy it. And Matt Damon is the Sexiest Man Alive this year, so it was all good. I liked the movie, too.
After the show, MT suggested that we dine at the Red Lobster. We haven't been there in ages and it was nearby so in we went. We only had to wait about 5 minutes before we were seated. We looked at the menu. MT wanted the lobster, and I wanted salmon and shrimp. We put down our menus and talked about some things. The server from the table near ours sort of glanced at me, but didn't come over. Another server from a table near ours glanced our way. A lady in a blue shirt walked past us a couple of times. Gradually MT and I stopped talking and started looking around for someone to help us. I checked the time. We'd been seated for about 20 minutes and no service. We decided to leave. At that time someone finally asked us if we'd been helped. It was too late. We were out of there. We stormed out the door and I heard someone yelling after us, "Folks, wait!" I turned around to see a young man racing toward us. It was Brendan, the service manager. He said we had been seated at a table where no server was assigned and offered to take us back in and put us with a great server and buy our meal. We would have none of that. We were very annoyed. He offered to give us a gift card to Olive Garden. Again we refused. I told him how disappointed we were in the service and that no matter what he offered us, we probably wouldn't be happy. They don't call me Red Red Hot Head for nothin'! So we left and went down the street to Bajio, a Mexican place. There were no cheddar biscuits, but the food was prepared while we watched and it was tasty. I don't think I have ever left a restaurant because of poor service before. We felt like we struck a blow for demanding better customer service, or something. But that really sucked.
After yummy Mexican food, we went to Barnes & Noble. I started my Christmas shopping and that was really fun. So except for the really crappy experience at the SUGARHOUSE RED LOBSTER, we had a nice evening.
