All of the house guests are here. MT is in heaven, telling stories to Kev's girlfriend. He loves having a new audience. After 20 years together, I've pretty much heard all the stories, so it's not fun to tell them to me anymore!
This afternoon I made some fudge, cupcakes and pecan pie bars for snacking/dessert. We're having 2 menus, one for the kids and one for the grown-ups. Kids are having ham, mac & cheese, corn and salad with the cupcakes for dessert. Grown-ups are having prime rib, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and salad.
I have no idea where everyone is sleeping except for me and my boys, but I'm not worrying about it because MT told me not to. I put clean sheets on all the beds.
My head is pounding. MT & Kev were sitting around the dining table telling their tales and looking at pictures, and they are not quiet men, especially after a couple of drinks. My MIL (that's mother-in-law) and the kids & I were trying to watch a movie but it was hard to hear. Every time we increased the volume, the men increased their volume, too. I suggested the menfolk move themselves into the front room. Sounds like that happened, so maybe it will be more enjoyable to watch the movie. It would probably be wrong to go to bed so early, right?
