Today's sweat was courtesy of the snow shovel. I spent around 30 minutes shoveling the snow from the driveway and the sidewalk in front and on the side of the house. There wasn't a lot of snow, but it was pretty heavy. It was also fairly warm and I was dressed warmly so I sweated. It counts. It does.
T played basketball today. His team didn't win, but I thought T's play was much improved. He is not very aggressive and doesn't like to scrap. He apologizes when he bumps into kids on the other team. He doesn't seem to like to be pestered by the defenders which is ironic because he is a pesky defender himself. He didn't take any shots today, although he did get his paws on the ball every now and again. He had fun and that's important right now. He doesn't have a very good coach. MT suggested that I coach T's team next year since I complain about the coach. I'm thinking about it.
For dinner tonight I made croquettas. They were good, not as good as Mom's, but passable. They had good flavor. Lots of turkey and onion. I enjoyed making them too. One of the things I did today was plan the meals for the week. I like to cook and I like to try to cook new things. This week the new recipe I will try is chicken piccata from the Everyday Italian cookbook that T gave me for Christmas.
Why do Saturdays go by so quickly?
